Hello! My name is cake, and this will be my first guide, so any and all recommendations to make it better will be appreciated. Thanks!

If you wanted to watch some anime, back in the day you had to wait for it to be made for conventional TV and even that is only for the mainstream anime. Now in the age of technology, you can find pretty much any anime online.

Legal/Paid Sites: Why?
  • While you might hate paid sites, most are there for a good reason. For one, you'll be knowing that your watching anime legally. Even better, many of these sites have free versions, with the main difference of ads. Please note that these sites may not work for your region so before purchasing, do some research.
Crunchyroll
  • Site URL: http://www.crunchyroll.com/
    • Crunchyroll is the powerhouse in terms of selection and popularity, making this your #1 choice. You can watch anime on Crunchyroll without paying but the difference is ads and slower release times.
AnimeLab Suggestion by @Anthony
  • Site URL: https://www.animelab.com/home
    • If you live in Australia/New Zealand, there's also the option of using AnimeLab. It's a fully legal streaming service with the option of Premium which removes advertisements and allows you to use 1080p

Funimation
  • Site URL: https://www.funimation.com/
    • I personally haven't used Funimation but it seems like it also has a Premium and Free version. It also seems like they are focusing on dubs, unlike Crunchyroll. It also has more of the older shows, like Neon Genesis Evangelion, unlike Crunchyroll. Some shows are only available to the paying user.

Netflix/Hulu
  • Site URL: https://www.hulu.com/ https://www.netflix.com/
    • While Netflix/Hulu has a limited amount of anime, it is focused on normal television. So, if you already have a Netflix/Hulu account, go check out what anime they have. I recommend not to buy if you are only looking to watch anime.

Illegal/Free sites:
  • While these sites are free, they are most definitely not legal. The upsides of such sites are that they usually have a greater selection of anime to watch. One of the downsides, though, it that most sites have ads bombarding your screen. So, please use caution when using these sites (and use some sort of adblocker).
DubbedAnime.net
  • Site URL: http://dubbedanime.net/
    • If you are the kind of person who only watches dubbed, this site is for you. Like most Illegal sites, they boast a large variety of anime.

9Anime.to
  • Site URL: https://9anime.to/
    • This site has quite the catalog looks pretty nice. Some features include Schedule, good sorting system, and even a request forum. I recommend this site.

KissAnime
  • Site URL: http://kissanime.ru/
    • This is the site that I use, and I find it to have more uptime than other sites. This site has quite a few ads and they have a checker for AdBlock, but there is a way around this, which I might post in the future. Anyway, I'd recommend this site to anyone who is looking for some free anime to watch.

GoGoAnime
  • Site URL: https://ww1.gogoanime.io/
    • This site is pretty much the same as KissAnime, but with a different GUI. This site is sometimes down more than KissAnime but at the very end, I think it's up to how you like the looks of these sites.

Otaku Stream Suggestion by @Fang
  • Site URL: https://otakustream.tv/anime/
    • This site boasts a simple, nice UI with many tabs for easy navigation. I particularly like the Schedule tab, which allows you to see the time and day of release for each airing anime.
MasterAnime Suggestion by @Kajime Kazuhiro
  • Site URL: https://www.masterani.me/
    • Content provided are based on speed-subs and hardcoded videos. Old content are being added and updated. The content is stored on different storage servers/CDNs.

AnimeHeaven.eu Suggestion by @Kajime Kazuhiro
  • Site URL: http://animeheaven.eu/
    • Content provided are based on speed-subs and hardcoded videos. Old content are also being added/updated from time-to-time. The content is stored in their very own server storage.

Thank you for reading! Again, any suggestions are welcomed.

The only problem I have with KissAnime is that almost all of the ads I get are porn and hentai ones. Lmao

Like no, I don't want whatever you're selling that will make dicks bigger. Pls.

Agreed. Thankfully, there's a way to get rid of those ads ;)

If you live in Australia/New Zealand, there's also the option of using AnimeLab, it's a brilliant streaming service, it's fully legal, with the option of Premium which removes advertisements and allows you to use 1080p, could also be allowed in a few Asian countries but I'm not sure.

I should probably add two of my frequently visited illegal anime streaming websites here in this thread. These two provide up-to-date content as per recent release. Both also have a seemingly good web UI and 1080p streaming for most-to-all content. The only gripe is the use of an ad blocker (I recommend using uBlock Origin and disabling ABP on both of these sites)
  • MasterAni.me - Content provided are based on speed-subs and hardcoded videos. Old content are being added and updated. The content is stored on different storage servers/CDNs.
  • AnimeHeaven.eu - Content provided are based on speed-subs and hardcoded videos. Old content are also being added/updated from time-to-time. The content is stored in their very own server storage.

Note to all: As much as we people are accustomed to using illegal sites to stream due to content availability issues, we should still support the creators on what they do, and head over to legal/paid websites to help publishers out where credit is due.

Added all suggestions! There may be errors since I was in a rush.

Edit: Just realized this was stickied! Hope this thread has helped someone out. Again, I'd love to add what sites you use so we can have a big list of streaming sites!

I think one of the best sides so far is RandarisAnime. Great Collection. The ads are ok. The only downside is, it's a german side. But pretty much every stream has an english version as well.

If there are people here who use Illegal Websites to stream their anime, just hit me up. I have a few Crunchy Roll Premium guest passes (3 I believe?)
If no one takes/uses them, they'll just go to waste. Shoot me a Private Message! :)

If you have issues with crunchyroll's servers, I suggest VRV by them. You can watch more than just their content for just a bit more and I found their servers there to be much better.
